Grace Shim, MA

Grace is an Asian-American counselor born and raised in the US. After receiving her M.A. in Counseling Psychology in Chicago, she and her family moved to Central Asia, where they served for five years in medical and community development. During those years, Grace was involved in developing a handicraft cooperative, equipping and mentoring local women leaders, as well as informally counseling the local and expat community. In 2009, they moved to Chiang Mai to continue similar work in Thailand. She joined the Cornerstone Counseling staff in 2010. Before moving overseas, she was involved in campus ministry while pursuing her counseling degree and raising a family. Her husband, Bob, is a physician, and her three children currently attend school in Chiang Mai after having been homeschooled while in Central Asia.
